Football reflection

For Physical Education this term, I have been learning how to play football with Lottie, Lisa and Ava.

We played games to learn football skills. My favourite game was when we got to dribble the ball and we had taggers trying to kick the ball out of bounds. Because I won both rounds and it helped me with my dribbling.

I have learnt to be more precise. Also a few times when we were playing a game of football I got a lot better at stealing the ball.

I focused on improving my fear of getting hit by the ball. Because when a ball is rushing at your face about to hit you flinch and use your hands.

The most challenging part of learning football was that only half of the team was cooperating. I wish the rest of the girls knew that football is fun because I think they would enjoy it more if they just put some effort in. That meant I was extra tired after.

I enjoyed playing fishy fishy. You run straight while people kick footballs at you and you have to dodge them.

I want to play for a team. I am gonna try out for one. Because after playing football with Lottie and Lisa I think it could be a fun sport.

I showed success because I gave everything a try.

Earthquake Data Handling Maths

We have been showing that we can make graphs. I made a graph showing the different magnitudes of earthquakes in 2018. First we made a tally in our maths books counting how much of each magnitude. Then we went of create a graph to make what ever graph/chart you like. I picked a pie chart because we never make pie charts. After that you have to write two-three questions about your graph. What do you notice or wonder?

Survey: Whats the most popular initial?

The most popular initial in the class is J. But only 29 people responded so its not 100% true and some people lied about their initial. Other wise J had the most votes. The work was to create a from and send to the whole class. Then had to make a graph to show our results. After we had to make a graph on sheets. But mine wont work so I can’t show my results. Last we have to blog our work. I enjoyed this work because it was simple. But my graph not working and really annoyed me. This term the theme is about statistics. So we will be doing lots of things with graphs.  Have you ever made a graph?

Protest art sep 26

This year our theme is action. We are learning about New Zealand activists. Like Kate Sheppard, ect. For our art we made posters with messages on them. I did stuff about bullying. My thing was to be someone’s umbrella in their storm. I think it means to help others when they need it. But could mean something different to you. There were other options stuff to do with pollution, bullying, oceans and others but I forgot. Now in our class we have a wall full of protest art. Have you ever made one of these?

CRT Color Block Land Scape

Today for crt we did Google drawing landscape. I picked the snowing mountains because it seemed easy compared to the rest. We used polyline to make the mountains and trees. But the moon and snow is made out of shapes.  I know abit about Google draw but I was still confused. We had to use tool like arrange, layering and gradient. I had one that was gradient but all the colors looked the same so I did block colours. Im trying to finish my portrait of Dora but its confusing. Have you ever tried Google draw?

Cybersmart Bullying Lesson

For the last two weeks we have been learning about cyber bullying. It was good to learn more because for my changing the world subject I picked bullying and I can include this in my work. They gave us a slide with videos on why and how to stop it. But also questions asking what would you do if this happened. Sharon told us we would share what we did in front of our group but we haven’t yet. I would have done more but my buddy didn’t finish her work so I had nobody. All I did was the slide answers but it was fun. Some of the questions were hard but it was easy work. Do you know what cyber bullying is?

Maths work

This is my math art. You had to rotate flip and slide the shapes to create a wrapping paper. Mine was used with all the symmetry. Our instructions were to Complete your own sheet of wrapping paper using a combination of mirror and slide symmetry. Include careful use of colour as part of your patterns, and then add a border using rotational symmetry. This was hard because she said you cant use basic shape but I did. Because the rest were all annoying to use. Also I forgot how to make the boarder so I had to do that really quick when we only had two minutes left. This work was better than doing our normal work as in its easier. Would you try this?

Monday Mashup Happy Face Music

For Monday mashup I picked chrome music lab because it seemed the easiest one. For the first week we did the Dora the explorer theme song. I would put it on here but then there would be people trying to get my autograph and I can’t handle the fame. So instead I put out the fire new drop. Called smile face music. Its very create and took a team of one. The process is very hard you click a button and a sound plays. I not good at music especially chrome music lab because it sounds like a baby did it. So I just draw pictures so then at least it looks good. Have you ever tried chrome music?

The First Flight

Richard Pearse was born December 3rd 1877. He invented the first ever plane. Richard grew up in a town called Temuka. He had a very inventive mind experimenting in different subjects. But his main subject was engineering. Because he loved anything mechanical.

His plane looked like a seat with wings. It flew for about 50 meters before crashing into a gorse fence. The plane was made out of bamboo, wires and canvas. He went searching for a motor but all were too big so he created his own.

Many people did not know about how he built the first plane until his death. There has been confusion about who made the first plane. The times are not a hundred percent accurate. This is because there is a bit of a debate about if it was in control. No matter what he had to overcome a massive challenge. His most challenging thing was the lack of resources.

He has inspired many new engineers. It might not have been the first plane. But it was the first plane built in New Zealand. It went fifty yards but that’s forty five point seventy two meters.

I think it would have been fun to watch. A bunch of people screaming in joy and a loud motor. One man in a seat with wings. Wind against you smelling gas.The photo we got shown it look exactly like that.

Pixel art google draw

This is my pixel art. We made it on a Google draw. It was hard to understand and do it correct. Because you have to type the letter of the colour below. But after you get used to it. Things get easier to make. There was a video to find out how to use nobody could hear her because she was whispering. I did a rainbow because it was the easiest to make. The gap at the end is very annoying so don’t mind it. I like how we just sat on a table and talked. Do you or have you ever tried pixel art?
